Debbie, John, Lauren and Jamie

The last couple of weeks have seen a number of portrait sessions and on Friday I was second shooter at Whittlebury Park for Sarah Vivienne at Craig and Debbie's wedding.

Then yesterday it was off to East Carlton Park for my last portrait session before Christmas, with Debbie, John, Lauren and Jamie. It's always a great location with plenty of variety, and provided the opportunity for some lovely family images.

Here are a few of my early favourites:

The shooter shot!

Today was a shoot of a different kind when I went down to Northamptonshire to meet Richard and his gun in the middle of a freezing cold field!

We took a few images around one of his usual shoot locations and then went on to a fantastic location that I'm sworn to secrecy about. Suffice to say, lots of great colours and textures as backdrops.

Here are a few of the images:

Thankfully I was quicker on the shutter!

Gracie and Charlie

And this afternoon was just a little bit nearer to home, next door in fact (!), to photograph Gracie and Charlie:

And not forgetting Mum and Dad, Eileen and Simon:

Henry and Beatrice

It was off to Rutland this morning to photograph Henry and Beatrice, taking advantage of some lovely natural light coming into the house before venturing out into the crisp and frosty morning where Beatrice turned into Little Red Riding Hood! Here are a few favourites:

Sarah and Alastair are married!

A lovely winter wedding today as Sarah and Alastair were married at St Mary's Church in Bruntingthorpe.

After some uninspiring weather earlier in the week they were blessed with a lovely sunny day, if a little bit on the cold side.

Here are a few early images:

Alastair and best man, Rob:

Sarah and her father, John, arrived in a lovely 1952 Austin:

And for the walk back from the church to the reception, which was held in a fabulous marquee in Sarah's parents' garden, Sarah donned a pair of black and white wellies:

The lucky couple are off on an extended honeymoon to the Far East, and I'm very jealous! I look forward to catching up with you both when you're back next year.

Shock, horror...

... I went a whole month with out posting a single entry on my blog!

Not something that I had intended when I started the blog but November was one of those months where it became a bit hectic and the blog had to go by the wayside.

There were a number of portrait sessions which have to remain secret as I dont want to spoil people's Christmas presents, and I've been designing some lovely wedding albums from the summers weddings.

And after a little bit of a lull a number of wedding enquiries came along all at once and we've booked some super weddings for next year.

Back to more frequent blogging shortly, with a number of shoots early in December, and news that Do Not Disturb Photography has been quietly launched. A separate blog entry will follow on that in the next few days.

Pictures to come with the next blog entries, I promise...

Natasha, Amy, Sophie and Josh

It was bitterly cold yesterday but there was still a lovely late afternoon sun when I went out to photograph Natasha, Amy, Sophie and Josh whose father's I know as they product great canvasses for me.

There were some lovely textures to photograph them against, and they were naturals!

Here's a small selection:

And I just couldn't resist their inquisitive neighbour!

Helen and Ben

This morning I caught up with Helen and Ben to catch up on their wedding plans for May next year. They're marrying at Halstead House and their wedding sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun, but I'm not going to give away any of the details...

Today was a wander across the muddy fields to the canal for some portraits to break the ice before next year.

Here are a few of the images:

More Trash The Dress

Another chance to go out and get a bit of practice and have some fun today when we went out and had a TTD session in and around Market Harborough with Caroline.

We started at the ruined church of St Mary in Arden, near the station, and then wandered around the industrial estates (I'm sure that some of the drivers went by several times in curiosity, particularly when we were shooting Caroline on the back of a Honda motorbike!) before heading into town.

Some early favourites:

And introducing Daisy the dog (gulp!):

Great fun was had by all and the dress may even have survived for another day...
