Carol and James

The recent portrait session with Carol and James emphasised why it is so useful holding a pre wedding portrait session as Carol was just a tiny bit nervous beforehand. But once we'd got into the swing of the session - which we held at East Carlton Park - she turned out to be a natural!

They're having a lovely intimate wedding just before Christmas at Rushton Hall.

Here are a few images of 'the naturals':

Hollie and Ian

Ian proposed to Hollie at Rushton Hall, so what better location could they have chosen for their first pre wedding portrait session.

We met up there one gloriously sunny afternoon a few weeks ago, and these are some of my favourites:

Alexandra and Steve

Alexandra and Steve's wedding is in mid Setember. They're getting married in Kibworth and holding their reception at one of my favourite local restaurants, Boboli.

They were back up from down south a few weekends ago and we met up for a few portraits:

Lizzie and Jon

Lizzie and Jon's wedding is just over three weeks away. They get married in Elton and then have their reception at the fabulous Rockingham Castle.

I caught up with them a few weeks ago in Elton for a few portraits to 'break the ice'.

Here are a few of the images from our wander around the village:

Alex and Nick

Alex and Nick are marrying in July at the impressive Rockingham Castle, one of several weddings we've got there this year.

I met up with them this morning for a 'break the ice' portrait session in Leicester, where we had a little wander down alongside the canals and around the Castle Gardens.

Here's a small selection of images:

A great couple in a great location, and I'm looking forward to their wedding already!

Christmas fairs and gift vouchers

Our brand new gift vouchers will be available this weekend at the Christmas Craft fair being held at Rushton Hall.

They are available for any amount that you would like to 'gift' , and can be put towards products and services from Nigel Ord-Smith Photography. An ideal present for Christmas!

Why not come along on Sunday to see some examples of our work? The fair opens and 10.00 am.

And there are a couple of other fairs coming up soon, both on Friday 27 November. During the day I shall be at Church Langton School, and in the evening at Harbrough Town Football Club's fair.

Hopefully see you at one of these events?

Anna and Stuart

After the recent sessions down south it was back a bit nearer to home on Monday when I caught up with Anna and Stuart at East Carlton Park.

They get married next summer at the fabulous Rockingham Castle and we caught up for an early pre-wedding portrait session to break the ice and get used to working together.

The autumn leaves were lovely and colourful and made a great setting.

Here are a few favourites:

Portrait photography in Surrey - Mark, Malin, Elsa, Tobias and Isaac

Another set of portraits, this time Mark, Malin, Elsa, Tobias and Isaac, taken last week at their home near Farnham:

And not forgetting their dogs, Monty and Harley:

Portrait photography in South London - The Fabulous Wilsations!

We snatched a couple of days away recently, catching up with family and an all to brief drop in on Geoff and Suzanne and their lovely children, Niamh, Tara, Allanah, and Connell.

Geoff is an old, old friend (i.e. from a long time ago (schooldays!) and he's old!!), and we hadn't seen them for a little while. In fact, we hadn't seen them since I last took some pictures of them some three years ago.

Here's a few up-to-date portraits, taken around their home:

We're long overdue a serious catch up...

Natalie and Spider

Yesterday I photographed Natalia and her horse, Spider, and we went for a wander down the beautiful avenue of trees off Warkton Lane in Kettering.

And the lovely backlighting was an added bonus for some of the images:

Maisie

I photographed the lovely nine month old Maisie at the weekend. She was quite inquisitive about the camera and not shy at all!

Here are a couple of Maisie, followed by some pictures with Mum and Dad, Jo and Matt:
